Tasks: Developing and producing messages that communicate the WiiTournii events. Assists with the development of local media lists. Assist with brainstorming, creating, and distributing marketing materials. Represent/support WiiTournii onsite at the event in your city. Assist Marketing Consultant as needed. Requirements: Public relations interns will be actively enrolled in university public relations, marketing, advertising or other related program. The individual must demonstrate the ability to undertake basic public relations writing assignments, and posses an understanding of basic media relations skills, an ability to interact professionally with clients, and good judgment. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and focus on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Individual must be able to commit at the duration of the project for the city you are applying for. Prior relevant experience is preferred. Must be a self-starter. Must be able to identify local hot spots for target demographic. Some travel is required. Benefits: Will give college credit. Flexible work schedule (work at home). Will reimburse travel expenses to the event at your designated city. A letter of recommendation at the end of the internship will also be provided.
